Sant Ciriac, the Patron Saint of Ibiza City
In Ibiza City, as it does not have a Saint as such, the patron saint festivities are held in honor of Sant Ciriac (Saint Ciriaco), the patron saint of the city. The celebration begins on August 8 and culminates on August 10 with impressive fireworks and parades.
During these days, the streets are filled with music, dances and delicious local dishes that delight attendees.
The 8th is also known as Earth Day.
Sant Antoni de Portmany and Santa Eulària des Riu are not far behind
Although it is true that Sant Ciriac is one of the largest and most celebrated patron saint festivals, these two towns are not far behind.
Sant Antoni celebrates two festivals coinciding with that of its own saint (in January) and Sant Bartomeu (summer festival in August): in both cases you can discover the still deep tradition that the portmanyins, without forgetting that touch of fun and modernity that characterizes them.
On the other hand, Santa Eulalia also celebrates two big festivals in February (the patron's day) and the first Sunday in May (Mother's Day), with a similar dynamic to Sant Antoni but with that special atmosphere that only this coastal town can achieve.
